Children

Christian education begins with a well-equipped nursery ready to care for your child. First impressions of church and of God are formed in these early days and we want time spent in the nursery to be meaningful and positive for all children.

As children grow, we offer developmentally appropriate programs and experiences that include recreation, Bible study, missions, music and worship.

Sundays

Bible study is available for all children at 9:00 a.m. and at 10:15 a.m. children begin worship with their parents. Following the children’s sermon, younger children can leave for their own Children’s Chapel. Throughout the year, children have the chance to lead in various aspects of worship including music, prayers, and readings. On our annual Children’s Sunday, children help plan and lead in all aspects of the worship service.

More Events

Fun events like our Easter Egg Hunt and Pumpkin Festival give children the chance to experience the love of Jesus and to see the care our church has for them and our neighbors in a safe environment. In the summer, Camp Second and Vacation Bible School help children deepen their faith and grow spiritually.

Youth

At Second, we strive to create a safe place where students can feel comfortable, be themselves and get a glimpse of unconditional love. Within a loving community of faith, students can meet Christ and discover more clearly the purpose and calling God has for them.

Sundays

Youth meet in the Youth Room (room 222) at 9:00 a.m. where they discuss biblical lessons and ask questions about faith and how to live as a follower of Jesus. Our youth studies follow the lectionary and connect to what the youth will experience in worship.

More Activities

In addition to weekly activities, our youth have opportunities throughout the year to grow in faith, serve Christ, and develop closer relationships with one another.
