Volunteer Information
2025 PUMPKIN PATCH
PATCH OPENS & SALES BEGIN: September 27
Last Day of Sales: October 31
Volunteering at the Patch
We could not operate our pumpkin patch without wonderful volunteers from our church and the community.
We welcome all ages to volunteer and find out how much fun it is to serve in our patch. (We are happy to sign community service forms for students)
Pumpkin Unload – Saturday, September 27. WE NEED VOLUNTEERS to help us unload an entire tractor trailer of pumpkins. To volunteer and see details about the unloading process, click the appropriate link. Church Volunteers. Community Volunteers.
Pumpkin Unload # 2 – Saturday, October 11. We’ll unload a second truck two weeks later. Click the appropriate link to sign up. Church Volunteers. Community Volunteers.
Daily Shifts – Volunteers can sign up online for 3 hour shifts any day of the week. 10am-1pm. 1 pm-4 pm. 4 pm-dark. (Sunday shifts don’t start until 12 pm). For students, we can be flexible with shift times depending on their schedule or availability.
Pumpkin Patch Special Events – Each Saturday and Sunday during our Pumpkin Patch season (except unload days), we are going to have special events for children and young people in the patch. On Saturdays, activities will be from 11 am – 1 pm and on Sundays, activities will be from 4 pm – 6 pm. We need volunteers to lead these activities so sign up below and volunteer to help bring an extra helping of fun and joy to children and families in the patch.
Pumpkin Bread Production – Among the reasons people love visiting our patch is receiving a fresh slice of pumpkin bread. For years, bread production came from the kitchen (and heart) of Catherine Lewis. However, as our patch has grown, so has our need to expand pumpkin bread production. We still use the same recipe and only use fresh “Second Baptist pumpkins” but need volunteers to help cook pumpkin, bake bread, and slice bread. If you are interested in cooking, baking, or slicing this year, contact Daniel .
