Sunday School

Bible Study & Formation

“God didn’t give us a spirit that is timid but one that is powerful, loving, and self-controlled.”

The Bible is the best tool we have to know Jesus and to understand God’s will.

At Second, classes for all ages meet each Sunday from 9:00 a.m.-10:25 a.m. to reflect on scripture, to gain insights for living faithfully, and for sharing concerns for one another and the world.

Second Baptist expanded its meeting times for spiritual formation in Sunday school. All Sunday school groups gather at 9:00 a.m. each week. Then at 9:25 a.m., for our adult groups, there will be a break to attend one of four discipleship offerings.

Youth (grads 6–12) meet in the Youth Room (Room 222) for open conversations and questions about how to live as followers of Jesus. Breakfast is provided each week by parents or caring adults.

Parents can drop toddlers and children ages two and three for class near the nursery area on the main floor. Classes for pre-Kindergarten thru 5th grade begin with an assembly in Room 310. Following the assembly, children move to classes for further instruction and encouragement.
